The Ammdent PrepCanal is a root canal lubricating and chelating agent formulated with EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) for use during biomechanical preparation of root canals. It helps in the removal of smear layer and calcifications, facilitates smooth negotiation of files, and ensures thorough cleaning of the canal system. Its chelating action softens dentin, improving instrument penetration and reducing the risk of file breakage.
DIRECTIONS TO USE
Canal Access – Prepare and isolate tooth for endodontic procedure.
Application – Apply PrepCanal into the pulp chamber and root canal using syringe/delivery tip.
Instrumentation – Insert files into the canal; EDTA will act as lubricant and chelating agent.
Irrigation – Flush with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) or other irrigants to remove loosened debris.
Reapplication – Repeat as necessary until canal preparation is complete.
Final Step – Rinse thoroughly before obturation.
