The Ammdent Canalarge EDTA Liquid is a 17% Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (EDTA) solution used as a root canal irrigant and chelating agent during biomechanical preparation of canals. It effectively removes the smear layer, inorganic debris, and calcifications, allowing better penetration of disinfecting solutions and sealers into dentinal tubules. By softening dentin, it facilitates easier negotiation of narrow and calcified canals, reducing the risk of instrument separation and improving cleaning efficiency.
DIRECTIONS TO USE
Preparation – Access and shape the root canal using standard protocols.
Application – Irrigate the canal with Canalarge EDTA Liquid using syringe and side-vented needle.
Instrumentation – Continue mechanical preparation while EDTA acts as a lubricant and chelating agent.
Final Irrigation – Rinse with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) to maximize disinfection.
Drying & Sealing – Dry canals thoroughly before applying intracanal medicaments or sealers.
