Substantive action provides prolonged antimicrobial effect
Compatible with EDTA and other irrigants used sequentially
Ideal for retreatment and persistent infection cases
KEY SPECIFICATION
Hexa Chlor is supplied in a ready-to-use liquid formulation suitable for syringe irrigation with side-vented needles. It should be used as part of a sequential irrigation protocol, commonly following sodium hypochlorite or instrumentation to enhance disinfection. The solution adheres to dentinal surfaces, providing extended antimicrobial effect even after removal from the canal. It must not be mixed directly with sodium hypochlorite to prevent formation of precipitates; instead, irrigation with saline or distilled water should be done between them. Ideal for persistent infection cases, retreatment procedures, and as a final irrigant to support long-term canal disinfection.
DIRECTION TO USE
Hexa Chlor is a chlorhexidine-based endodontic irrigant formulated to provide long-lasting antimicrobial action inside the root canal system. It is highly effective against a wide range of bacteria, including resistant species commonly found in persistent or retreatment cases. Unlike sodium hypochlorite, Hexa Chlor does not dissolve organic tissues, offering a safer alternative in sensitive and complex canal anatomies. Its substantivity allows residual antimicrobial protection, preventing regrowth of microorganisms after irrigation.
