Description
MTA Fillapex is a calcium silicate–based endodontic root canal sealer developed by Angelus, designed to provide excellent sealing, biocompatibility, and long-term stability. It combines the biological advantages of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) with resin components to ensure easy handling, smooth flow, and effective adaptation to root canal walls.
The sealer promotes tissue repair, exhibits antibacterial properties due to its alkaline pH, and ensures reliable sealing of the root canal system when used with gutta-percha in permanent obturation procedures.
DIRECTIONS TO USE
Perform complete cleaning, shaping, and drying of the root canal.
Dispense equal amounts of base and catalyst (or use the automix syringe if available).
Mix until a uniform, homogeneous consistency is obtained.
Apply the sealer inside the canal using a lentulo spiral, file, or paper point.
Insert gutta-percha cones using the preferred obturation technique.
Allow the material to set as per recommended setting time before proceeding with restoration.
