The Ammdent D-Pulp is a devitalizing paste containing paraformaldehyde used in endodontic therapy for the painless devitalization of vital pulp tissue. It is indicated in cases where pulp extirpation is difficult due to patient conditions, acute pain, or hemorrhage. The paste ensures effective pulp mummification, reduces bacterial activity, and provides a reliable aid in root canal procedures.
DIRECTIONS TO USE
Tooth Preparation – Isolate the tooth and gain access to the pulp chamber.
Application – Place a small amount of D-Pulp paste over exposed pulp using a sterile applicator.
Sealing – Cover with a temporary filling material (e.g., Cavitemp).
Action Time – Leave in place as per clinical requirement (usually 24–48 hours).
Follow-Up – At the next appointment, proceed with pulp extirpation and complete root canal therapy.
